Yes, some of you already participated in one or more of our past Hackathons Stuttgart or even others in Germany or the world. In general all of the Hackathons do have one thing in common: developing till the finger’s burn.

Minimal differences could be noticed in the organisation and the type of the location.

Well, how’s the procedure of the Hackathon Stuttgart 2015 organized then? Will there be some food? Where can you stay if you’re not from Stuttgart? How can you find a team if you’re planning to take part alone? What if you do not have „enough“ experience?

Let’s try to answer all of these questions in a short summary:

Organization & timetable?

The organization will be similar to the past Hackathon Stuttgart 2014. Last year’s organization was corresponding to the following process:

Friday 06.11.15

16:15: Short introduction of the mentors

16:30: Idea-Pitch and Teambuilding

17:15: Overview of platforms/hardware provided

18:00: Developing-Start

20:00-21:00: Dinner

24:00: Developing-Stop ?

Saturday 07.11.15

8:30: Salutation+Breakfast

9:00: Developing -Start

The location of the Startup Campus is potentially usable 24/7, so that we are clarifying the next steps to enable the non-stop development.

Food?

Yes sure – who wants to create good code needs to get enough and good food. We will be offering a catering – typical Swabian. In a follow up blog post we will present the catering we chose for you.

Accomodation?

As we are discussing how to offer you the facilities for a 24/7 developing there are also some accomodation posibilities which Stuttgart-Ost does offer. Please be aware that you have to take care of any costs yourself, we can only help to find an accomodation.

The nearest hostels are for example:

Know-How?

You’re not sure if you have enough experience to join the Hackathon Stuttgart 2015? There is no „not enough“. Everyone has skills which are valuable for a team. It doesn’t matter if you are full of ideas, or love to create the design, or even just enjoy coding. No matter if you are a pro in presenting or in team leading. Join us – no matter which skill you’re best in. This is what a team is formed about: different team players.
