TinkerForge and Maker Beam

We bought a plethora of Bricks and Bricklets. This time we even acquired Maker Beam Starter Set. Those help you build the mechanical parts of your solution.  We have a whole Blog entry dedicated to TinkerForge.

Raspberry PI

Sure, we don’t have to write a lot about this. We got some of the Raspberry 3 Model B V1.2. They can be used the same way our TinkerForge RED Bricks. Just connect your Hardware and connect it via the Raspberry to the Cloud.

Kinect

gadgets hackstgt17Kinect is a motion sensing input device by Microsoft for Xbox 360 and Xbox One video game consoles and Microsoft Windows PCs (yes, we also provide the connectors for Windows). Based around a webcam-style add-on peripheral, it enables users to control and interact with their console/computer without the need for a game controller, through a natural user interface using gestures and spoken commands. Amazon Dot (Alexa)

gadgets hackstgt17New on this Hackathon! Amazon Dot is a brand of smart speakers developed by Amazon.com. The devices connect to the voice-controlled intelligent personal assistant service Alexa, which responds to the name „Alexa“. The device is capable of voice interaction, music playback, making to-do lists, setting alarms, playing audiobooks, and providing weather, traffic and other real-time information and most important it can also monitor and control your hackathon solution!

Go ahead and use it, could give you the edge over the competition!

3D-Drucker

Use them to fabricate stunning housings and other features for your solution. Ideal for rapid Prototyping. Again, we have Dremel printers (3D Drucker Dremel Idea Builder) available. Find information on the printers here.

It uses the Zigbee lighting protocol to communicate, and can be controlled via smartphone apps over Wi-Fi via a Zigbee–Wi‑Fi bridge. The system also features HomeKit compatibility.
