Ferdinand-Porsche-Gymnasium Zuffenhausen

The Ferdinand-Porsche-Gymnasium Zuffenhausen in the north of Stuttgart is one of the largest grammar schools in Stuttgart. The school’s profile rests on three pillars: MINT, musical and linguistic. In terms of language, the FPGZ offers a bilingual train (E) and an International Encounter Class in Class 10.

As part of the MINT focus, the children in Class 5 will be given a driving licence on the drill as part of the BNT lessons. Starting from class 8, NWT is offered as the main subject, in the course level two hours. In addition, there is a two-hour course in computer science and an advanced mathematics course, both of which are in great demand. From grade 5 onwards, students can participate in the Robot AG and the Climate AG. As part of the Klima-AG, the pupils hold a climate exhibition for other pupils every two years.

Successful in MINT competitions

Some of our students participate very successfully in a number of MINT competitions: the First Lego League, the Federal and State Mathematics Competition, Mathematics without Borders, the Kangaroo of Mathematics, and the Beaver of Computer Science.

The FPGZ cooperates closely with Porsche, both in the MINT equipment of the school and in factory tours, internships, career information and as a partner in MINT-100 regional forums.
