Hackathon Stuttgart

2012–2019 · Stuttgart

48 hours. Eight years. More than 150 ideas.

From 2012 to 2019, the Hackathon Stuttgart brought developers, designers, students, school teams and companies together for a weekend of building. Started by logicline as a side project with around 35 hackers in our own office, it grew into one of the region’s best-known hackathons with more than 150 participants and up to 35 teams.

The Hackathon Stuttgart is no longer held. This site preserves the projects, winners and impressions from eight years – as a thank-you to everyone who was part of it.

“It’s great to see how this format has evolved over the past years. Especially in times of digital transformation and agile teams, the Hackathon Stuttgart shows clearly how quickly interdisciplinary teams can transfer an idea into a minimum viable product.”

Nico Kreinberger, Robert Bosch GmbH (sponsor and jury, 2016)

What it was about

Teams of developers, engineers and designers had 48 hours to turn an idea into working software – using platforms, APIs and hardware provided by the sponsors: cloud platforms, connected cars, cleaning machines, robots, lasers, e-bikes and banking APIs. At the end, every team pitched to a jury.

Thank you

To every hacker who gave up a weekend of sleep, to the sponsors who brought their platforms and challenges, to the jury members, mentors and helpers – and to the schools and universities who joined us.
