Hackathon Stuttgart 2019 in it’s 8th edition!
This year is gonna be our 8th Hackathon Stuttgart and the 4th time in a row we are located at the beautiful Phoenixhalle Stuttgart (Römerkastell)! We started in 2012 with only 30 Hackers. And most noteworthy is that this year we will have about 250 Hackers. AMAZING!

In the following we will provide a first overview of important information to clear frequently asked questions and to give you a better idea of what to expect.
When? The Hackathon Stuttgart 2019 will start the 25 October and ends at the 27 October . The registration was already opened from the 1 April and you have the chance to get your seat until 13 September 2019. So don’t hesitate – register now! Some seats are already taken!
Where? The event will take place at Roemerkastell Stuttgart (Phoenixhalle, Naststraße 29, 70376 Stuttgart)
How many attendees? In 2019 we expect around 250 Hackers, so more or less 50 Teams with each 5 Hackers (this number can differentiate). In addition 4 school classes, and approx. 100 visitors will be part of the event.
Do I need to attend with a team? No, you don’t need to. You can either join our Facebook group to network and build teams with other Hackers OR you can come to the event and build the teams THERE. We would not recommend more than 5 members, because a bigger teamsize is harder to handle. If you would like to be a bigger team please be aware that the winner prices have to be shared. But it’s your choice!
What can I prepare? Besides that, the only thing you need to take is your own laptop, things you need to develop with and of course whatever you need for your idea and your own wellbeing.
Is there a parking area? Yes there is. All around the Phoenixhalle Stuttgart up to the REWE parking can be used for your stay.
Where can I sleep? We provide 24/7 hacking at the location and some beanbags. But we can’t garuantee that every attendee gets one of those. So we recommend you bringig your own sleeping stuff like a sleeping bag and a pillow etc. Also near at the location you can find some hotels which you can look up here.
