Overview of Hackathon Stuttgart 2017 teams
Here you can see all the teams that attended at Hackathon Stuttgart 2017 and read about their ideas. Also you can see what technologies they used to bring their project to life. Sadly five teams had to give up before the pitches. Thats why their team numbers are missing. But all the others, the two awesome school teams as well, are listed in this overview. Have fun!

Motion Controlled Car
Team #1 – ePet
The speech crontrolled virtual pet
Team 2 – Clean Car
Every Car2Go Customer gets a clean car
Team #3 – Smart Motion Control
Remote Control
Smart Motion Control is a flexible, opensource and universal system to control various connectivity devices by gestures. This way the whole smart home can be controlled by gestures. We use wristbands and smart watches to capture raw motion data of the user, The actions are trigger by a Raspberry Pi.
Tech Stack:
Kinetic Wristband, Sony Smartwatch, 3, Raspberry 3 Model B, radio controlled switch kit
Team #4 – Chaos Unicorn Network
Four players are in an escape room. Every player has one character (vampire, evil fairy, reaper, black magician) connected to features. At the beginning, they are stuck in a happy fairytale world. Since they are characters of darkness, they hate all this joyfulness and wish themselves back to darkness. To make wish come true, they to break gods commandments…

Team #5 – Kamer
The main idea is when a user wanted to use the car sharing robot. The application should locate the user’s current location and destination. Based on his location and destination, the nearest robot is chosen for driving. The algorithm developed is to efficiently save time and use the shortest distance to reach the user and the destination.
Tech Stack:
Team #7 – Dratuti
Todays irrigation and garden watering techniques rely on sprinklers operated on a timed schedule. Due to rain, moisture content of soil may vary and isn’t uniform everywhere. With a swarm of soil rovers, we can analyze moisture content quickly so that appropriate distribution of water (irrigation) can be applied.
Advantages: Reduction in wastage of water, Better yield of crops, No damp gardens.

Team #11 – 71
ButlerBot at a bar
Picture the situation of a totally crowded bar and only one bar keeper. In this situation, the barkeeper would be totally lost. But not with our „ButlerBot“! It manages and delivers the orders and the barkeeper can focus on his main task: getting the drinks ready!

Team #12 – Hallo Platoon!
Autonomous vehicles platooning together!
The idea is to make a user-interactive call for an autonomous car. The user just requests Alexa for a car (autonomous taxi). The information is then processed in the cloud. The cars are moved autonomously from an area of less demand to the area of more demand by means of connected-autonomous platoons.
Tech Stack:
Team # 13 – Naked Factory
Team #14 – Pickman
Get customized food like a lunchbox just in time and chose your favorite ingredients in advance at your app or chose from special offers. The IOT-Robot will prepare your meal and you can pick it up. It will be fresh, regional and seasonal. A smart deposit system also reduces waste!
Tech Stack:
Team # 16 – Car-€-Zone
You know the problem: you’re in your car and your wallet is in your trunk. What if your car can pay for you in certain situations? Imagine you’re travelling from Germany to Croatia and your car already knows that you’ll have to pay toll fees in Austria & Italy — why not buy all tickets upfront? Or use your car to pay in your burger place’s drive through? Even cooler: order @ home and just drive through — your burger place already knows your order and will prepare it freshly. Your car is your univseral wallet!
Tech Stack:
Team # 17 – Go2Car
Team #18 – Command&Swarm
Based on customer data, we generate a density function describing the optimal distribution of the cabs. Subsequently, the distribution is achieved utilizing coverage control. Since the demand is time-varying with next-to-no prior knowledge, we position the cabs dynamically using Centroidal Voronoi tessellations.

Team #20 – Hello Technology
My Pure Air
Particulate matter and other nitrogen oxides affect our health and therefore our quality of life. Even if you are using a bike for your ways you might breathe bad air. With a mobile measurement device we guide the users to healthier routes and optimize their routined ways.
Team #21 – Hack’n’Slay
Especially in big cities like Stuttgart, particulate matter emissions due to poor traffic flow impose a serious threat to public health.
Our approach tackles this challenge by enabling decentralized Car-2-X communication, today! We’ve built a universal IoT-upgrade for light signals to provide real-time information to car drivers. As each individual will be able to optimize their driving behavior, emissions and fuel consumption will be reduced.
Tech Stack:
Waveshare, Alphabot 2 Pi, Adruino Uno
Team #23 – 44Forge
Ghost in the machine
Google Tango, Sphero, Raspberry Pi, (Phillips hue, water dispensers), Android, Unity, NodeJS
Team #24 – Re:Shape
Bringing emotion through sense into virtual modeling.
Tech Stack:
Kinemic, Alex, Rhinoceros, Grasshopper
Team #25 – Wriggle
Wriggle is a gesture-controlled game with the main goal to encourage people to interact with each other while playing a healthy improving game. The API is open so we can connect any motion-controller we want, e.g. dance mats, bikes or smartphones
